Over the years I’ve had the opportunity to interview quite a few folks who have been involved in the video game world. I want to get some of those more available for others researching game history, and so will be publishing some of them (where I can get permission) here on this blog.
Bob Leedom, conducted May 29, 2021. Also includes correspondence with David Ahl from Feb. 11, 2021. Developer of the popular Super Star Trek BASIC game, as well as KIM Baseball and KIM-Venture for the KIM-1 computer system.
Arthur Luehrmann, conducted Sept. 12, 2022. Scientist who worked with BASIC at Dartmouth in the 1960s and created the computer games ANIMAL, POTSHOT and a visual version of John Kemeny’s FTBALL.
Bob Ogdon, conducted Aug. 17, 2020. Former game developer who worked at Dave Nutting Associates on console titles for the Bally Professional Arcade before spinning off and leading Action Graphics. He eventually moved on to interactive CD-ROM products and games with Mammoth Micro Productions.
Bob Smith, conducted Feb. 3, 2021. Former game developer with Atari, Imagic, Bally Sente, Electronic Arts, Accolade, 3DO and Skyworks. Died in May 2023.
Ronald Stringari, conducted Feb, 17, 2021. Formerly of Sears and later Atari Inc. and Atari Corp. in the marketing world. Died in March 2022.
